One Deceased After a Shooting in the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood

One person deceased after a shooting in Southeast Portland.

On Sunday, January 26th, 2026, at 2:32 a.m., AMR responded to a medical call near Southeast 134th Avenue and Southeast Harold Street of someone who was not breathing. Upon AMR's arrival, they found a person with gunshot wounds. AMR requested police assistance and Officers assigned to East Precinct responded. Despite lifesaving efforts by AMR, the person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the Portland Police Homicide Unit are responding to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, traffic in the surrounding area will be impacted.
