Dentons expands presence in the Cayman Islands with the addition of HSM Chambers legal team

November 3, 2026

George Town, Grand Cayman-Dentons, the world's largest global law firm, is pleased to announce that it is expanding its presence in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region with the addition of the legal practice of HSM Chambers.

HSM Chambers' lawyers and legal support professionals will join Dentons in the Cayman Islands, ensuring continuity of service for clients. Dentons will acquire HSM Chambers' long-standing offices at 68 Fort Street, George Town, which will become the Firm's Cayman Islands headquarters and further demonstrate its long-term commitment to the Cayman Islands market.

The combination demonstrates Dentons' long-term confidence in both the Cayman Islands and its position as a leading international financial center. "This is much more than an expansion of our practice. It represents a substantial investment in the Cayman Islands and in the future of our clients. The acquisition of HSM reflects our commitment to maintaining a significant presence in the heart of George Town while continuing to attract exceptional legal talent to deliver world-class service from Cayman and across the region," said David Dinner, Managing and Founding Partner of Dentons' Cayman Islands office and Interim Chief Executive Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean.

"This combination is about creating new opportunities for our clients while preserving what has made our practice successful. By joining Dentons, our clients gain access to a truly global platform, deeper sector expertise and enhanced resources, while continuing to receive the responsive Cayman Islands advice and personal service they value," said Huw St. J. Moses, OBE, Managing Partner of HSM Chambers and incoming senior counsel at Dentons.

Both Dentons' Cayman Island office and HSM Chambers are recognized by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 across multiple practice areas and provide full-service advice spanning investment funds, private equity, banking and finance, corporate and commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency and restructuring, litigation, trusts and estate planning, real estate and immigration.

"While HSM and their clients will gain access to the global Dentons platform, our Cayman office remains a 100% Caymanian-owned and controlled law practice and will continue both firms' longstanding support of Caymanians' in the legal sector," said Randall Foster Martin, Founding Partner of Dentons' Cayman Islands office. "That local ownership and decision-making means we retain the independence, responsiveness and Cayman-focused perspective clients expect, while drawing on Dentons' global resources whenever it benefits a client matter."

The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year.

HSM Corporate Services Ltd and HSM IP Ltd will continue under separate ownership and will remain independent of Dentons.
