Testa, McClellan Celebrate Success of Next NJ Manufacturing Program

Senator Michael Testa and Assemblyman Antwan McClellan (both R-Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland) are celebrating the success of the Next New Jersey Manufacturing Program after BeOne Medicines and Starman New Photonics announced new investment and job creation in the Garden State.

Respectively, BeOne Medicines announced a $300 million expansion of its Hopewell (Mercer) manufacturing and research facility, which is expected to create 120 new full-time jobs. Earlier this month, Starman New Photonics announced a $150 million investment to renovate a facility in Warren, creating approximately 250 new jobs. These announcements represent the success of the Next New Jersey Manufacturing Program, which was sponsored by Senator Testa and Assemblyman McClellan to secure and attract high-quality jobs in New Jersey's manufacturing sector.

"For far too long we've watched job creators leave and invest in other states because of policies that made it harder to do business here," said Senator Testa and Assemblyman McClellan. "The Next New Jersey Manufacturing Program was created to change that and we're proud to see it making a comeback. These investments will create good-paying careers and strengthen New Jersey's position as a leader in advanced manufacturing. This is further proof that by making New Jersey more competitive, and cultivating a business climate ripe for success, companies will choose to invest here-and this is only the beginning."

In 2025, the Next New Jersey Manufacturing Program became law and created a $500 million tax credit program-the largest ever in state history for manufacturing.
