The City of Palm Desert will begin distributing Spay and Neuter Vouchers to eligible residents starting January 5, 2026, as part of its ongoing commitment to animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
Vouchers will be available at the Discover Palm Desert Visitor Center inside the Palm Desert Library, located at 73300 Fred Waring Drive, during regular library hours. The program is open exclusively to Palm Desert residents, and proof of residency, such as a driver's license, resident card, or utility bill in the resident's name, is required at the time of pickup.
Each household may receive up to four vouchers, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The vouchers are valid for spay and neuter services provided by Animal Samaritans. Residents who receive a voucher must contact Animal Samaritans directly to schedule their appointment; all necessary instructions are included on the voucher.
The Spay and Neuter Voucher Program is sponsored by the City of Palm Desert and aims to support pet health while reducing pet overpopulation in the community.
