The National Tea Workers Union and LIPTON Pakistan conclude new collective agreement

The National Tea Workers Union (NTWU), affiliated to the IUF through the Pakistan Food Workers Federation (PFWF), and LIPTON Pakistan signed a new collective bargaining agreement covering 2026-2027 on August 24, 2026.

Earlier in 2026, following two years of sustained efforts, the NTWU successfully concluded negotiations on its Charter of Demands for 2024-25. The union then went on to negotiate and conclude a new collective bargaining agreement for 2026-2027, making this a particularly significant year for the NTWU and its members.

Throughout this period, the union stayed mobilized and worked to ensure that collective bargaining continued to play a central role in addressing key issues affecting workers, including wages, annual increments and bonuses.

The conclusion of both agreements demonstrates the importance of continued dialogue and collective bargaining in addressing workplace issues and reaching negotiated outcomes.

The NTWU has expressed its appreciation to the Pakistan Food Workers Federation (PFWF), the IUF-PCC, and the IUF Asia Pacific for their solidarity and support throughout the process. The union also thanked the IUF and its LIPTON affiliates for their support over the past two years.

The IUF congratulates the NTWU, its leadership and its members on these important achievements and welcomes the successful conclusion of negotiations and the signing of the new collective agreement between the NTWU and LIPTON Pakistan.
