Election-Denying Congressman Tom Tiffany Praises Trump's Election Overreach as "Good News"

At a recent campaign event, election denier Congressman Tom Tiffany rolled out the red carpet for Trump's Department of Justice to continue its politically motivated overreach into Wisconsin's elections, saying, "good news, good news, the federal Department of Justice is coming to Wisconsin for this election to make sure that we have election integrity."

Congressman Tiffany's comments, which were first reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, come after he has repeatedly spread baseless conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and backed the FBI's transparently political probe into Wisconsin's elections that threatens the privacy of thousands of voters' data. As the report notes, Congressman Tiffany also "objected to certifying the 2020 presidential election results in two states and said he would have objected to the results in Wisconsin," had the election certification not been disrupted by January 6th rioters who attacked cops - whom Congressman Tiffany has referred to as "victims."

"Congressman Tom Tiffany is once again putting his 100% loyalty to Trump and the MAGA movement ahead of doing what's right for Wisconsin, cheering on Trump's politically motivated election takeover and continuing to push debunked election denialism," said DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy. "Instead of focusing on the sky high costs Wisconsinites are facing as a result of his unequivocal support for Trump's disastrous economic agenda, Congressman Tiffany continues to peddle unfounded lies. Congressman Tiffany's blind loyalty to Trump and willingness to undermine Wisconsin's free and fair elections is dangerous, it's disqualifying, and it's one more reason why voters will reject him this November."
