MAGA Republican Christine Drazan Announces Second Doomed Bid for Oregon Governor

Portland, OR - Four days after being appointed to the state senate, Republican Christine Drazan announced that she will once again run for governor after her failed 2022 campaign. The Democratic Party of Oregon released the following statement:

"Christine Drazan's announcement makes one thing clear: Donald Trump is officially on the Oregon ballot. Drazan has sided with Donald Trump on deploying the National Guard onto Oregon streets instead of standing with local law enforcement and Oregon business leaders.

"She supported a dangerous abortion ban, pushed to cut funding for Medicaid, and opposes vote-by-mail. Oregonians deserve a governor who will defend our state, not someone who takes orders from Mar-a-Lago.

"When given the chance to lead, Drazan walked out on Oregonians, killing hundreds of millions in funding for everything from fighting wildfires to preventing child abuse. And like Trump, Christine Drazan panders to far-right MAGA extremists, January 6th rioters, and election deniers.

"Voters already rejected Christine Drazan's extremist agenda once. Now Oregonians should ask themselves: Do you want Donald Trump as Governor?"
