This weekend join Madison Parks in celebrating Earth Day across the city.
Earth Day Challenge
On Saturday, April 25, join neighbors and friends at the Earth Day Challenge. For more than 20 years, Madison Parks has honored Earth Day by recruiting volunteers to help clean up local parks across the city. Volunteer may register up until the event or go directly to a participating park to assist with trash pickup, raking, weeding, removing sticks, and more. Trash bags and gloves are supplied at all parks, and all ages are welcome to participate.
See Earth Day Challenge volunteer signup to see which parks need and register online.
Bird & Nature Festival
On Sunday, April 26, see, do and explore at this year's Bird & Nature Festival in Warner Park! See live birds from Open Door Sanctuary, meet local nature groups, hear nature-focused talks, explore hands-on activities and displays for all ages. The four-hour event is inside Warner Park Community Recreation Center and outside near the rainbow shelter in Warner Park.
For more information, see Bird & Nature Festival.
