The biennial meeting between the foreign ministers of the EU and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will take place in Brunei on 28 April. Minister for Nordic Cooperation and Minister of Education Anders Adlercreutz will represent Finland at the meeting.

The meeting will focus on strengthening the relations between the regions. Topical international issues are also on the meeting agenda. The EU aims to promote deeper cooperation in several sectors and lay the groundwork for the summit marking 50 years of relations between ASEAN and the EU, scheduled for next year.

In addition to the foreign ministers' meeting, Minister Adlercreutz will meet bilaterally with the Minister of Education of Brunei.
