On June 24, the second round of security and defence consultations between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union was held in Brussels.
During the consultations, the parties discussed a broad range of issues related to expanding and deepening cooperation between Armenia and the EU in the fields of security and defence. In particular, they addressed Armenia's security sector reforms, ongoing cooperation under the European Peace Facility, the activities of the EU Mission in Armenia, the prospects for establishing cooperation between Armenia's relevant educational institutions and the European Security and Defence College, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
The parties also exchanged views on Armenia-EU cooperation in strengthening resilience against hybrid threats, with particular emphasis on enhancing the capacities of Armenia's relevant institutions.
The meeting also covered current issues related to regional security.
