Highway Illumination Replacement Project on Whitehead Highway in Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a highway illumination replacement will take place on Whitehead Highway in Hartford. This is scheduled to occur on Monday, September 14 and be completed on Tuesday, September 15, 2026

The work is being performed by Hartford Electrical and Wethersfield Maintenance garage

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect a full closure of the entrance and exits to/from Whitehead highway at Pulaski Circle. The closure will be in effect from Monday, September 14 to Tuesday September 15, 2026. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule is from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday to Tuesday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
