Mark your calendars: the American Boating Congress (ABC) will take place May 17-19, 2027, in Washington, D.C., bringing the recreational boating industry together for three days of advocacy, engagement, and direct conversations with federal policymakers. ABC is the industry's premier advocacy event to be seen and heard on Capitol Hill and before federal agencies.
The 2027 event will be especially important as a new Congress gets underway and the Trump Administration passes a half-way point of a second term. Early bipartisan engagement will help ensure lawmakers understand the strength of the recreational boating industry, the challenges facing marine businesses, and the policies that can support continued growth, innovation, and access to the water.
With 95% of boats sold in the United States built domestically and 93% of boat builders classified as small businesses, recreational boating has a powerful innovation and manufacturing story to tell.
ABC gives the industry a united voice on emerging priorities, including support for industry growth and business certainty, protecting access, and driving innovation across the industry.
NMMA encourages members to save the date now and make plans to be in Washington, D.C., May 17-19, 2027. A strong industry presence on Capitol Hill matters, and ABC is where boatbuilders, suppliers, dealers, lenders, marinas and other industry leaders unite to make that presence felt.
Additional registration and program details will be shared in the months ahead.
