Crime Map and Updates

Welcome to our crime map. You can search by address, date range, case number, or specific crime type. The map includes serious felony crimes, vehicle prowls, thefts (except shoplifting), and arrests beginning in Nov. 2020. Click on icons for more detail. Addresses listed are rounded to the hundred block. For a complete list of case reports, visit olympiawa.gov/p2c.

Notable Trends

  • Two auto thefts reported this week. One was a boat on a trailer and the other was a 2010 Subaru Legacy.
  • One commercial burglary reported that is an open investigation.
  • One rape reported where an officer picked up a SANE kit from the hospital.
  • Eleven thefts reported. Two were bikes, one was unsecured on a bike rack and the other was stolen from an unsecure garage. Officers arrested the suspect in one theft where he cut copper wire from a house under construction and stole scraps from a closed dumpster. He fled and a K9 and drone helped locate him. There is another open investigation of copper theft from a trash compactor.
  • Five vehicle prowls reported with an arrest in one case. In the arrest, the suspect was found inside a car at a dealership. Officers located him walking away from the scene. Fingerprints were found in another case where three juveniles smashed a window of the car before security interrupted them.

Other Items

  • Officers responded to 1,333 calls for service this week.
  • The Percival Plinth Project is back! Check out the loaned sculptures along Percival Landing and vote for your favorite. The one with the most votes is purchased by the City for a permanent display. All sculptures are on display for a year but voting ends July 31.
