Ambassador of Thailand Congratulates Thai VietJet on the Launch of the New Incheon-Bangkok Direct Route

On 1 October 2025, Thai VietJet officially launched its new direct flight service between Bangkok and Incheon. The inauguration ceremony, held at Incheon International Airport, was attended by Mr. Luong Truong An, Executive Vice President of VietJet Air; Mr. Shin Dong Ik, Director of Incheon International Airport Corporation; and Mr. Patthanapong Pongtongcharoen, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Seoul Office.

On this occasion, Ambassador of Thailand expressed heartfelt congratulations to Thai VietJet, emphasizing that the new route marks a significant step not only in expanding air connectivity between Thailand and the Republic of Korea, but also in deepening people-to-people, business, and cultural relations between the two nations.

In 2024, over 1.87 million Korean tourists visited Thailand, while nearly 300,000 Thai travelers visited Korea - a testament to the strong and growing ties between the two peoples.

This new route is a timely response to the rising demand for travel and is expected to play an important role in enhancing post-pandemic economic recovery, tourism growth, and cultural exchange between Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
