ADVISORY - Governor Shapiro and Lt. Governor Davis to Attend Ribbon Cutting, Mark Opening of Redesigned Market Square, Another Key Piece of Downtown Revitalization Plan

Governor Josh Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis will attend the ribbon cutting of Market Square, marking the completion of another key part of the Governor's $600 million plan to revitalize Downtown Pittsburgh.

The renovation and reopening of Market Square was one of the three iconic public spaces included in Governor Shapiro's 10-year plan to revitalize Downtown Pittsburgh and set to be complete before the NFL Draft - uniting the city's private sector, local government, corporate leaders, and nonprofits behind a plan to build more housing, revitalize public spaces, and improve safety, cleanliness, and affordability downtown. Last week, Governor Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor Davis celebrated the opening of Arts Landing on time, ahead of the Draft.
