HARRISBURG - Rep. Tim Twardzik (R-123) and Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) today announced $1,951,952 in Local Share Account (LSA) funding for nine projects in the 123rd House District. The awards will support water and sewer infrastructure, municipal equipment, blight redevelopment, community programming and emergency communications throughout Schuylkill County.
"Reliable water and sewer systems, safe roads and dependable emergency services are things our communities rely on every day," said Twardzik. "This funding will help address long-standing needs, replace aging equipment and make important improvements that residents will see and benefit from for years to come."
"I am pleased to see these highly competitive funds coming back to our local communities, improving infrastructure, public facilities, and public safety for local residents, and breathing new life into our neighborhoods," said Argall.
The funding will support the following 123rd District projects:
The Local Share Account program is funded by gaming revenues under Pennsylvania's Race Horse Development and Gaming Act and administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority. It supports projects that improve the quality of life for residents, including public safety, infrastructure and community development initiatives.
