City of Riverside Invites Community to Review Latest Design for the South Main Street Complete Street Project
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The City of Riverside invites residents, business owners, and community members to attend the next Community Workshop on Sept. 29 and learn about the latest design updates for South Main Street between Third Street and Highway 60.
The City of Riverside is advancing the South Main Street Complete Street Project as part of the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Grant program. This project aims to bring street improvements previously identified in the Northside Specific Plan Project to make the corridor safer, more accessible, and easier to navigate for everyone who lives, works, shops, or travels through the area.
Planned improvements include:
• Expansion of parking capacity and accessibility for business patrons, including new diagonal parking options along the center of the street
• Sidewalk accessibility and Class II bike lanes on both sides of the street
• Traffic calming measures such as high-visibility crosswalks, curb extensions, speed feedback signs, pedestrian signals, and reduced speed limits
Community Workshop
Join us at the next workshop to learn about the preferred design for South Main Street and how community input has helped shape it. Explore the proposed improvements and their potential benefits and trade-offs, ask questions, and share your feedback as the project moves forward.
Spanish and ASL interpretations will be available. Refreshments will be provided.
Register Now and attend for a chance to win a $100 gift card raffle!
