City of West Hollywood to Co-Sponsor “Novemberfest” – A Free Sober Event in Partnership with the Institute for Public Strategies

The City of West Hollywood is proud to co-sponsor Novemberfest: A Sober Oktoberfest in November, organized by the Institute for Public Strategies (IPS). IPS leads the Safer WeHo Coalition, a grassroots initiative dedicated to reducing and preventing substance use-related harm within the West Hollywood community. By offering innovative alternatives to traditional nightlife activities, the Safer WeHo Coalition fosters environments that promote community engagement and healthier lifestyles.

Novemberfest offers a substance-free community celebration featuring drag bingo, live musical acts, and carnival games - all in the spirit of fun and inclusion. Hosted by Pickle, the City's inaugural Drag Laureate, the event combines festive entertainment with vital community resources, including available naloxone kits, information on fentanyl and sobriety, and free STI testing to support the health and well-being of the West Hollywood community.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Plummer Park's Fiesta Hall, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard. Admission is free, but advance registration is highly encouraged via Eventbrite.

The City of West Hollywood has a longstanding commitment to promoting the health and well-being of the West Hollywood community and providing support for programming that helps individuals combat substance abuse and addiction. The City has previously partnered with IPS to bring forward events such as #BOOM, #SIZZLE! and other events to support the sober community in West Hollywood.
