Novant Health welcomes sports medicine physician to serve Triad patients and High Point University athletes

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Dr. Simon Moskowitz recently joined Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, where he will care for patients in Greensboro, High Point and Kernersville.

Through Novant Health's partnership with High Point University, Moskowitz also will serve as the medical director of athletics for the university's NCAA athletes. He and Dr. Chris Brumfield, also of Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, will work closely with High Point University athletic trainers to provide sports medicine coverage for athletes across all university sports.

"I'm passionate about treating athletes of all ages and skill levels," said Moskowitz. "My background is in family medicine, and my goal, whether treating a college athlete or a weekend warrior, is to provide comprehensive care for the whole person, not just the injury."

Moskowitz earned his medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a family medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center and a primary care sports medicine fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he served as a team physician for Ohio State athletics, working closely with numerous teams including football, basketball, ice hockey and volleyball. Moskowitz brings extensive sports medicine experience to his patients, including work with high school, collegiate and professional athletes.
