Eldorado Pkwy. and Research Rd. Middle of the Intersection Closure Begins Monday, Sept. 8

(September 7, 2025) The middle of the intersection of Eldorado Pkwy. and Research Rd. will be closed for two months starting at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, to improve a large water main beneath the road. The closure will remain in place until early November. During construction, no left turns will be allowed from any direction, and drivers will not be able to travel through the intersection on Research Rd. All northbound and southbound traffic on Research Rd. must turn right onto Eldorado Pkwy. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Eldorado Pkwy. will not be affected. Detours around this closure are described below and shown in the attached map. See map of intersection (PDF).

Detour Information:

  • Southbound Research Rd. traffic wanting to turn left or continue through should travel west on Eldorado Pkwy., turn south on Frisco Street, then turn left on Research Rd. From there, drivers can reach their destination on Research or connect to eastbound Eldorado Pkwy.
  • Westbound Eldorado Pkwy. traffic wanting to turn left onto southbound Research Rd. should follow the same detour described above.
  • Northbound Research Rd. traffic wanting to turn left or continue through should travel east on Eldorado Pkwy., take the exit to the frontage road, follow the u-turn under the bridge, and rejoin westbound Eldorado Pkwy. From there, drivers can turn right onto Research Rd. or continue west on Eldorado Pkwy.
  • Eastbound Eldorado Pkwy. traffic wanting to turn left onto northbound Research Rd. should follow the same detour described above.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and to find an alternate route in advance.
