Victim identified from fatal crash at East Fountain Boulevard and Academy Park Loop

On October 18, 2025, at approximately 2:17 a.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service regarding a traffic crash that occurred at the intersection of East Fountain Boulevard and Academy Park Loop. When officers arrived on scene, they found an occupant of one of the vehicles was deceased. Two occupants of the other vehicle were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Due to the nature of the crash, the CSPD Major Crash Team responded and assumed the investigation.

On October 19th, 2025, the El Paso Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy on the deceased female passenger. She was identified as 31-year-old Linda Michelle Regul. A photo of Ms. Regul has been provided by her family below.

This is the 47th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year. At this time last year, there were 43 traffic fatalities. In the last 365 days, there have been 53 fatalities in Colorado Springs.
