MAI Capital Management Named One of Crain’s Cleveland Best Places to Work in Ohio

Recognition reflects firm's people-first culture and commitment to creating an environment where employees feel valued and supported

CLEVELAND-August 24, 2026-MAI Capital Management ("MAI"), a registered investment advisor (RIA) focused on empowering clients to simplify, protect and grow their wealth, today announced it has been named one of Crain's Cleveland Best Places to Work in Ohio. The recognition, presented by Crain's Cleveland Business in partnership with the Best Companies Group, celebrates organizations across the state that set the standard for workplace excellence through cultures of respect, innovation and opportunity. This marks the first time MAI has been recognized with this honor.

MAI's inclusion on this year's list reflects its emphasis on advancing a people-first culture built on collaboration and open communication, as well as a shared commitment to our clients, each other and our communities. In practice, this commitment shows up in the way our culture is engrained in our daily practice. Employees are supported through comprehensive health benefits, paid parental leave, retirement savings programs, tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development, mentorship and learning opportunities designed to help them grow personally and professionally.

"This recognition means a great deal because it celebrates the people who make MAI what it is," said Rick Buoncore, Chairman and CEO of MAI Capital Management. "We have always believed that taking care of our team is inseparable from taking care of our clients. Being named one of Ohio's Best Places to Work is emblematic of the culture our team has built together, and we're motivated to continue raising the bar for each other every single day."

MAI's dedication to empowering its people extends beyond the workplace, with team members encouraged to actively engage in the communities where they live and work. Over the past year, employees have volunteered with organizations including the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Achievement Centers for Children, and Believe in Dreams, to name a few, and participated in other firm-supported service initiatives that reflect MAI's commitment to giving back in the communities it serves.

"At MAI, we work hard to create an environment where people feel valued, not just as employees but as individuals," said Lesa Evans, Chief Human Resources Officer at MAI Capital Management. "When people feel supported, connected and able to do their best work, that carries through both in and out of the office. Thank you to everyone at MAI who made this recognition possible."

Crain's Best Places to Work program is open to all publicly or privately held organizations, either for-profit or nonprofit, that have been in business for at least a year. To be eligible for consideration, organizations must have at least 25 employees working in Ohio. Best Companies Group, a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based independent workplace excellence research firm, conducts a two-part survey. The first part of the assessment consists of an employer questionnaire, used to collect information about benefits, policies, practices and other general information. The second part is a confidential 77-question employee survey used to evaluate local employees' workplace experience and culture. Best Companies Group collected data from the companies June 2026. Best Companies Group combines the scores of the two surveys, with the employee responses making up 75% of the total and conducts an in-depth analysis to determine which companies meet its standard of excellence. MAI ranked 45th out of 67.

With headquarters in Cleveland, MAI operates across 44 offices with more than 700 employees nationwide. To learn more about career opportunities at MAI Capital Management, visit mai.capital/careers.
