FedEx Launches New Flight Between Indianapolis and Dublin

FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), the world's largest express transportation company, has launched a new four-day-a-week 767 flight between Dublin, Ireland, and Indianapolis, Indiana - the second-largest hub in the company's network. The new direct air freight lane will allow goods from Dublin to bypass congested coastal gateways and arrive at their destination one day faster. It also provides U.S. shippers with a strategic transatlantic link to Europe's growing innovation centers for industries such as high-tech, healthcare, and transportation.

"This flight highlights the success of our Tricolor international network redesign strategy in strengthening our capabilities in the global air freight market," said Richard Smith, chief operating officer, international and chief executive officer, airline. "By adding this route, U.S.-based customers can reduce delivery times to one of Europe's key innovation hubs, where industries like healthcare, electronics, and aerospace are experiencing significant growth. Our network, augmented by advanced digital tools, is designed to support customers in these expanding sectors."

Wouter Roels, regional president of FedEx Europe, said, "Ireland is a vibrant export market, with around 68% of total goods exported in early 2025 going into the U.S. - with industries like pharmaceuticals and medical equipment leading the way. The addition of a direct flight between Dublin and Indianapolis marks a proud milestone for FedEx, connecting businesses across key industries with U.S. growth markets."

FedEx has a comprehensive suite of digital tools to assist customers with shipment tracking and import and export needs. The FedEx Delivery Manager and the FedEx Import Tools are available to enhance customer experience and streamline the shipping process. The FedEx® International Connect Plus (FICP) service offers FedEx e-commerce customers the balance of speed and price. Also available for customers with high-value, automotive, and healthcare shipments is the FedEx Surround Monitoring & Intervention suite of tools. Surround offers real-time monitoring of packages and air freight and utilizes AI and machine learning to provide increased control, remediation, and intervention opportunities while the package is in the FedEx network.

The new flight has been added to the FedEx network as the Indianapolis hub recently opened a 16,000-plus-square-foot cold-chain facility. The facility features three temperature zones: minus 25 C to minus 10 C (minus 13 F to 14 F), 2 C to 8 C (35 F to 46 F), and 15 C to 25 C (59 F to 77 F), plus a re-icing room.
