News 12 Announces New Season of Haunted Tri-State

Hosted by News 12 Anchor Kristie Reeter, the series takes viewers on a spine-tingling journey through some of the New York tri-state area's most notorious haunts

News 12, the preeminent hyperlocal news source across the New York tri-state area, is bringing viewers a new season of Haunted Tri-State, hosted by News 12 Anchor Kristie Reeter. Offering a distinctly local take on paranormal storytelling, Haunted Tri-State brings News 12 viewers closer to the legends, landmarks, and mysteries found in their own communities.

This third season explores seven chilling stories across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut - from a 140-year-old murder mystery at Rahway Cemetery and the spirits said to linger at the historic Milleridge Inn to a museum of haunted objects, Neir's Tavern, the Rivoli Theater, Tarrytown House Estate and a two-part investigation inside the abandoned Mid-Orange Correctional Facility.

"Haunted Tri-State reflects what News 12 does best - creating compelling, original programming rooted in the local communities we serve," said Audrey Gruber, Senior Vice President and General Manager of News 12. "This third season gives viewers a unique look at the history and local legends behind some of the region's most fascinating places - stories they won't see anywhere else."

The new season premieres with eight episodes beginning Wednesday, September 9 at 9:30 p.m. across all News 12 Networks. Here is a closer look at what viewers can expect:

Rahway Cemetery - Wednesday, September 9

• Kristie joins Nine Lives Paranormal at New Jersey's Rahway Cemetery to investigate a 140-year-old murder mystery. Together, they search the historic grounds for clues - and possible paranormal activity - that could help shed new light on the long-unsolved case.

The Milleridge Inn - Wednesday, September 16

• More than 350 years ago, a small farmhouse was built in Jericho, New York. Today, the historic home remains part of The Milleridge Inn, one of Long Island's oldest landmarks. Kristie explores the property's centuries-old history and the spirits said to still linger within its walls.

Haunted Objects Museum - Wednesday, September 23

• Kristie travels to the John Zaffis Paranormal Museum in Stratford, Connecticut, home to an imposing collection of objects associated with unexplained activity. Among them are a mysterious wedding dress said to be haunted, and a military jacket believed to carry unsettling negative energy.

Rivoli Theater - Wednesday, September 30

• Kristie reunites with Nine Lives Paranormal to explore a century-old New Jersey theater known for reports of unexplained footsteps and mysterious presences. As the team investigates the historic venue, they look for evidence of what - or who - may remain after the curtain falls.

Neir's Tavern - Wednesday, October 7

• Neir's Tavern has stood in Woodhaven, Queens, for nearly 200 years. Behind its storied history are reports of strange encounters and unexplained activity. Haunted Tri-State steps inside the legendary tavern to investigate whether some former patrons may still be raising a glass.

Tarrytown House Estate - Wednesday, October 14

• Behind the elegance of Tarrytown House Estate lies a chilling history. Guests and staff have reported mysterious footsteps and other unsettling occurrences throughout the property. Kristie ventures into the estate after dark to investigate claims that restless spirits may still be watching.

Mid-Orange Correctional, Part One - Wednesday, October 21

• Kristie accompanies Full Moon Paranormal into the abandoned buildings that once made up the Mid-Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick, New York. After strange phenomena are repeatedly captured in a long, dark hallway, the team attempts to make contact with the spirits of former inmates.

Mid-Orange Correctional, Part Two - Wednesday, October 28

• The investigation at the former Mid-Orange Correctional Facility continues as Kristie and Full Moon Paranormal explore whether trauma and sorrow can linger in a place like clouds of negative energy. The team returns deeper into the abandoned facility in search of answers to the unexplained activity surrounding them.
