Check out the latest episode of CCTV's "The Art of Cathedral City" highlighting professional theater in downtown Cathedral City!
Host Conrad Angel Corral recently visited Coachella Valley Repertory (CVRep), located at 68510 East Palm Canyon Drive in the heart of Cathedral City's downtown arts district. Executive Artistic Director Adam Karsten shared details about CVRep's exciting 2025-2026 season, featuring four acclaimed Broadway productions that will bring world-class theater to the Coachella Valley.
The season launches with the regional premiere of Dear Evan Hansen (December 3-21, 2025), the six-time Tony Award winner that captured hearts worldwide. This contemporary masterpiece explores identity, mental health, and human connection through its deeply moving story of a socially anxious high school senior.
Following is the hilarious British comedy One Man, Two Guvnors (January 14-February 1, 2026), a Tony and Drama Desk award-winning slapstick reimagining of the classic Italian comedy. The beloved musical Guys and Dolls (February 25-March 15, 2026) brings Damon Runyon's colorful New York characters to life, while Ernest Shackleton Loves Me (April 22-May 10, 2026) closes the season with a wildly inventive romantic musical adventure.
"The generosity and graciousness of our patrons, donors, and media inspire us to plan seasons that are entertaining, intriguing, and produced with the highest standards of professionalism and creativity," said Karsten. "Each of our four productions this season brings something special to the stage."
CVRep's intimate 200-seat theater is the only venue in the Coachella Valley with Small Professional Theatre status with Actor's Equity, ensuring professional-caliber productions. The theater also operates a Conservatory offering professional theatre training and produces special events including cabaret performances and Luminary Luncheons with stars of stage, film, and television.
