MDOT closure and detour of Days Mills Bridge (on Alewive Rd/Rt. 35) to begin September 15th
The Town received notification on September 3rd from Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) of their detour plan for the removal and replacement of the existing Days Mills Bridge on Route 35 over the Kennebunk River.
Days Mills Bridge on Alewive Rd. (State Route 35) over Kennebunk River, in Kennebunk & Arundel, ME will be closing Monday, September 15th for removal and replacement of the existing bridge. It will reopen on, or before - June 29, 2026. This section of Alewive Rd. (State Route 35) will be closed to all vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic during this closure. Please follow the signed detour utilizing The Maine Turnpike & State Route 111.
