Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5, State Route 4 (SR-4), and SR-99 for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 4

State Route 99

  • Full closure of the off-ramp from SR-99 to Maze Boulevard in Modesto for maintenance work on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Interstate 5

  • Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
  • Note: This project is expected to continue through summer 2026.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.

For the safety of workers and other motorists, please Be Work Zone Alert. Caltrans also reminds motorists to #KnowBeforeYouGo by checking QuickMaps on your mobile device or visit quickmap.dot.ca.gov for real-time highway conditions.
