On April 17, 2026, in Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, took part in the ninth Foreign Ministers' meeting in the "Central Asia - Russia" format.
During the event, the heads of foreign affairs agencies discussed the current state and prospects of the six-party cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the progress in implementing the agreements reached at the second "Central Asia - Russia" Heads of State Summit, held in October 2025 in Dushanbe.
In his remarks, the head of the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan emphasized the need for a transition to the 'green' economy, calling for strengthen regional cooperation in the field of renewable energy, the formation of 'green clusters,' and adaptation to climate change. Given Tajikistan's traditionally active role in global water and climate diplomacy, Sirojiddin Muhriddin also proposed to form of a special platform for the exchange of advanced technologies and best practices in the environmental agenda.
