Discover Match-Day Experiences Across Downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA-As Atlanta continues to welcome hundreds of thousands of fans during the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the City is encouraging residents and visitors to experience the excitement throughout Downtown Atlanta, where local businesses, restaurants and public gathering spaces are creating vibrant match-day destinations of their own.

From South Downtown to Underground Atlanta, fans will find outdoor viewing opportunities, food, music and community celebrations that capture the excitement of the tournament while supporting Atlanta's local businesses.

The City of Atlanta and Showcase Atlanta have plenty of free programming options throughout the remainder of FWC, which will close out with A Celebration of Sound & Soccer -a free festival at Piedmont Park on July 19, 2026, anchored by a live screening of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final and headlined by a full set from Atlanta's own Ludacris. He will be joined by other local acts in a festival produced by ONE Musicfest.

Across South Downtown, restaurants and venues are welcoming fans with outdoor screens, expanded seating and match-day programming. Popular destinations include the Nelson Street Bridge area, Brewhouse, Bottle Rocket, Global Grub Alley, CTR, El Tesoro, the Centennial Park District and numerous nearby restaurants offering places to gather and enjoy the matches.

Underground Atlanta is also hosting match-day activations featuring large television screens, entertainment and opportunities for residents and visitors to come together in one of Atlanta's most historic destinations.

These Downtown experiences provide additional opportunities for fans to enjoy the atmosphere, discover new businesses and celebrate alongside fellow supporters.

Additional activations include:

  • Global Grub Alley turns Walton Street into a pedestrian-only corridor for fifteen days during the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Atlanta. Up to twenty Atlanta-area trucks line a short two-block stretch from Centennial Olympic Park Drive to Fairlie Street.
  • Showcase Atlanta has partnered with Butter.ATL for Capture the Flag-where you can earn prizes while exploring Atlanta.
  • The Welcome to ATL Experience, a sold-out Downtown vendor activation places more than 150 local businesses in front of visitors on match days and the day after. While vendor spaces are sold out, the activation will be free and open to the public on match days +1.
  • The ATL Cultural Exchange at The CTR, is open through July 15 and will also feature Showcase Atlanta vendors throughout its run. Find upcoming events provided by the ATL Cultural Exchange online here.

Visitors and fans are encouraged to arrive early, support local businesses and explore everything Downtown Atlanta has to offer while creating your own unique FWC experience.

Come early. Support local. Explore Downtown. Experience Atlanta.
