In anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is launching its "Kick it in CoMo" campaign to welcome international and domestic visitors and foster community engagement. With Kansas City as a host location, Columbia is an ideal position to serve as a celebration hub and a welcoming waypoint for travelers attending the matches.
"Our proximity to Kansas City, combined with our engaged community, makes Columbia a great destination for travelers from around the world and across the country to visit during the World Cup," CVB Director Amy Schneider said. "It's also a great opportunity to partner with local businesses and events to make a positive local impact. We're excited to welcome people to CoMo to kick it with us and share the excitement of this once-in-a-lifetime event."
Through Kick it in CoMo, the Columbia CVB will serve as the central hub for information, coordination and promotional resources. Kick it in CoMo includes the following:
City of Columbia Vision
Columbia is the best place for everyone to live, work, learn and play.
City of Columbia Mission
To serve the public equitably through democratic, transparent and efficient government.
