Pop 2000 Tour Taps Into Y2k Nostalgia at The Great New York State Fair

Who says a #Throwback is only reserved for Thursdays? The Pop 2000 Tour is set to deliver those top 10 TRL moments to Chevy Court on Tuesday, September 1, at 6 p.m. at the Great New York State Fair.

The Pop 2000 Tour is bringing the ultimate throwback party to the Fair, featuring Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, and LFO. Packed with chart-topping hits, iconic dance moves, and all the sing-along moments you remember from your MTV days. From frosted tips to flip phones, fans can expect a night of pure pop nostalgia that will have everyone on their feet.

  • Chris Kirkpatrick is an American singer, dancer, actor, and voice actor who is best known for his work as a founding member of the pop group *NSYNC. Outside of touring, Kirkpatrick has worked as a voice actor, including the character of Chip Skylark on The Fairly Oddparents. He has also competed in Season 3 of Celebrity Big Brother and The Masked Singer.
  • O-Town's story began in 1999, when Making the Band chronicled the group's rise to success in three seasons of the series on both ABC and MTV. O-Town's first two full-length albums included #1 singles, "Liquid Dreams" and "All or Nothing," and the Top 40 hit "We Fit Together."
  • Ryan Cabrera is the singer-songwriter behind ubiquitous smashes such as "On the Way Down," "True," and "Shine On," as well as albums including 2004's Take It All Away, which hit #8 on the Billboard Top 200. Cabrera was also featured regularly on MTV's Ashlee Simpson Show and The Hills.
  • LFO burst onto the scene in 1999 with the #1 smash hit "Summer Girls" and followed it up with another top five hit in "Girl on TV" and the top ten hit, "Every Other Time," creating a soundtrack to countless summers.

"The Fair has always been about making memories, and for so many fairgoers, the playlist of the early 2000s is a huge part of that," said Fair Director Julie LaFave. "This show is all about bringing those moments back or bringing the next generation along for their first show. It's going to feel like a time capsule party."

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 26, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 7. All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country. Tickets are $8 for adults while admission is free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.

In total, The Fair's 2026 Chevrolet Music Series will feature 41 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and an 8 p.m. concert each evening at Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway). The Fair will also host two special shows at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 28 and September 4 at Chevy Court.
