Chinese Consul General in Sydney Wang Yu Attends China National Opera House Concert in Sydney

On 19 July, the "Opera Gala with Orchestra: East Meets West" concert by the China National Opera House was held at the Sydney Opera House. H.E. Consul General Wang Yu attended and delivered a speech.

Wang Yu stated that music knows no borders and cultural exchange serves as a vital component of China-Australia friendship, highlighting the historic significance of the China National Opera House's debut performance in Sydney. This performance is a vivid showcase of the finest Chinese and Western cultures and a testament to the growing bond between the peoples of China and Australia. Artists performed classic pieces including Carmen, Turandot, The Butterfly Lovers, and Who Doesn't Praise Their Hometown. The event drew over 2,100 guests, including members of the prominent figures from Australian politics, business, culture, sports, education and Chinese Community. The audience was captivated by the beautiful melodies, responding with sustained and enthusiastic applause.
