The City of Tulsa's Accounting Division and Finance Department have once again received national recognition for their commitment to financial transparency, receiving the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
This award recognizes the City's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. An independent panel of judges reviewed the report and found it met GFOA's high standards for clarity, transparency, and full disclosure, providing Tulsa residents and other stakeholders with the information they need to understand how the city manages its finances.
The GFOA Certificate of Achievement is considered the top honor in government accounting and financial reporting. Earning it reflects the City of Tulsa's continued commitment to fiscal responsibility.
This is the 44th year in a row that Tulsa has received this award, a streak that reflects the city's long-standing dedication to accountability and sound financial management.
