NEW: Ohioans for Lower Costs Ad Calls Out Ramaswamy for Taking Advantage of Sick Patients
Today, Ohioans for Lower Costs, a group backed by the Democratic Governors Association, released an ad in Ohio's governor race, "Every Shift," featuring an ICU nurse talking about how Vivek Ramaswamy took advantage of sick people desperate for a cure.
In the ad, nurse Helen talks about how Ramaswamy preyed on patients like hers and made billions pushing a "garbage" Alzheimer's drug that didn't work.
Transcript:
Nearly every shift, I see a patient who's desperate for a medical miracle or a clinical trial.
Anything that will buy them a little more time.
Vivek Ramaswamy knows how desperate sick people are. And he tried to take advantage of that.
He backed one drug called "garbage" by a medical expert and peddled another drug to Alzheimer's patients that didn't work.
Walking away from it all a billionaire.
Vivek Ramaswamy didn't care about patients like mine, and he doesn't care about Ohio.
