AAJ Urges Lawmakers to Support Amendment to Strike Pesticide Immunity from House Farm Bill

AAJ Urges Lawmakers to Support Amendment to Strike Pesticide Immunity from House Farm Bill

April 29,2026
WASHINGTON, DC-American Association for Justice (AAJ) CEO Linda Lipsen issued the following statement urging lawmakers to support Representative Anna Paulina Luna's amendment to remove immunity for pesticide manufacturers from the House Farm Bill:
"Corporate chemical companies have been waging a widespread campaign to seek immunity in states across the country, the Supreme Court, and now in the House Farm Bill, in order to escape accountability when dangerous pesticides hurt people. Despite widespread and bipartisan opposition, the House Farm Bill would strip Americans of their right to seek justice against the makers of more than 57,000 pesticides, including products commonly found in every American household, school, and workplace. I urge House lawmakers to protect Americans and support Representative Luna's amendment to ensure that foreign chemical manufacturers are held to account."
