President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Holds Talks with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif

The meeting followed an official welcoming ceremony at the Prime Minister's residence, where President Tokayev was received by Prime Minister Sharif. After the joint photo session, the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Pakistan were played, and the commander of the honor guard delivered a report. The two leaders then introduced members of their official delegations.

Following the ceremony, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev planted a tree on the grounds of the Prime Minister's residence before proceeding with Prime Minister Sharif to the talks.

During the meeting, the leaders noted the steady expansion of Kazakhstan-Pakistan cooperation in recent years and discussed further steps to strengthen political dialogue, trade and economic ties, investment cooperation, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The talks focused in particular on enhancing cooperation in trade, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, digitalization, space, and finance.

The leaders also exchanged views on key regional and international developments.
