Crime Map and Updates

Welcome to our crime map. You can search by address, date range, case number, or specific crime type. The map includes serious felony crimes, vehicle prowls, thefts (except shoplifting), and arrests beginning in Nov. 2020. Click on icons for more detail. Notable Trends

  • One arson reported over the last two weeks. The suspect admitted to setting a fire in her apartment. It did not spread to other apartments.
  • Six aggravated assaults reported for the two-week period. Two are open investigations and officers arrested suspects in four of the cases. In two cases, the suspects strangled the victims. In one of the strangulations, the suspect also stood over the victim with a knife. In the last case, the suspect assaulted officers who were arresting her for assaulting a neighbor and causing a huge disturbance in the neighborhood.
  • Six auto thefts reported with one arrest. Three were Kia Souls and the others were a 2000 GMC Sonoma, 2016 Dodge Dart and a 2004 Toyota 4Runner. One of the Kia's was an attempt only with damaged ignition and steering column. All vehicles were recovered except for one. In the arrest, the victim's girlfriend stole his vehicle and was also arrested for DUI when located by officers.
  • One robbery reported where the suspect pushed an employee trying to stop a shoplift.
  • One rape reported that is an open investigation. The victim knows the suspect.
  • Four residential burglaries reported over the last two weeks. Officers arrested the suspect in one case for a violation of a no contact order. In one case, the suspect stole an e-bike from a shed that was left briefly unsecured. In another, the suspect entered through an unsecured bedroom window and stayed overnight while the victim as out of town. In the last case, three juvenile suspects kicked in the side door of a house under renovation and vandalized the bathroom.

Other Items

  • Officers responded to 2,322 calls for service over the two-week period.
  • I'll be out of the office part of next week so no weekly update. I'll double up the following week.
