All are invited to Tampa's very first Earth Fair.

Sunday, April 19, from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Al Lopez Park, environmental stewardship will be in full bloom. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in special activities and watch live demonstrations where they can learn from experts about simple ways to conserve water, how to improve their home's energy-efficiency, practical advice on reducing food waste, and much more. Individuals will receive an Earth Fair passport to stamp at each booth across both the Eco-Village and Garden Grove. Those who fill their passport will receive a free plant and compost to take home.

Mayor Jane Castor's annual tree giveaway will also take place at the Earth Fair. This year's giveaway will also provide a bag of mulch.

"Time is of the essence for each and every one of us to make sustainable changes to our lifestyles that reduce our environmental footprint," said Mayor Jane Castor. "Tampa's resources and natural surroundings are at play every day and in everything we do, making it a shared responsibility to protect and conserve the place we call home."

The Earth Fair will open at 10:00 A.M. and officially kick off at 11:00 A.M. with a brief welcome from event organizers and Mayor Jane Castor. The Eco-Village and Garden Grove will open right after, offering hands-on activities, educational sessions, live demonstrations, interactive art installations, and nature walks hosted by City of Tampa departments and sustainable community partners including Hillsborough County, The Rooted Door, Renüable, ArtisTREE Gardens, Veransa, and Hilton Garden Inn.
