From the Community, For the Community: TPD Introduces Hometown Heroes

September 23, 2025

The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) is proud to announce the launch of its new Hometown Heroes video series, highlighting the men and women who serve our community both in and out of uniform.

This five-part series shines a spotlight on officers who were born and raised in Tallahassee, Leon County, and surrounding areas. Each episode explores their journey into law enforcement, the personal experiences that shaped them, and the passion that drives them to protect and serve their hometown.

"Every officer has a story, and these stories remind us that every badge represents a neighbor, a friend, and a community member who calls Tallahassee home," said Chief Lawrence Revell. "The Hometown Heroes series gives our citizens the chance to see the people behind the uniform - their character, their values, and the hometown pride that motivates them every day."

The first episode of Hometown Heroes will premiere on Tuesday, September 30, across TPD's social media platforms and website. New episodes will be released weekly, with each video showcasing a different officer and their unique story.

"We invite the community to watch, share, and celebrate with us," added Chief Revell. "We believe this series will deepen the connection between our officers and the community we serve."
