KOKOMO, Ind. - Have questions about college?
At Indiana University Kokomo, answers are now just a phone call away.
A new IU Infoline - (855) 588-6948 or (855-LUV-MYIU) - is available to call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The resource is designed for IU Kokomo students, but is also available to parents and family members.
Manual Mendez, IU assistant vice president of process improvement and project design, said the goal for the Infoline is to provide immediate answers.
"If you have a question, we have an answer, and if we don't have the answer, we know who does," he said. "We know our students are busy with classes, work and families. They may come up with a question at 9 p.m. and not be able to navigate our website to get to the answer. We can get that answer for them."
Trained customer service representatives will be able to provide information about application and admission deadlines, course registration and advising, housing and dining, financial aid and billing, student support services, campus resources, events, technology, and more.
If the representative cannot answer a question, a call ticketing system will send it to the department that would be able to answer it, with a prompt to respond.
Mendez said IU Kokomo and IU Southeast are piloting the IU Infoline. Those calling in for IU Kokomo information will select option 6 to be directed to IUK information.
"This line is specifically catered to IU Kokomo, with information about your campus," he said.
Education is KEY at Indiana University Kokomo.
