Road Closures Expected Along Loop 202 Starting May 1

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers of the following closures scheduled for work on the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) widening project:

• Westbound Loop 202 will be closed at Gilbert Road from10 p.m. Friday, May 1, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 4.
  • DETOUR: Westbound Loop 202 drivers will be able to exit at Gilbert Road and reenter the freeway at the Gilbert Road on-ramp. Drivers also may consider alternate routes, including Pecos, Germann and Williams Field roads.

• UPDATED: The weekend closure of Lindsay Road at Loop 202 originally scheduled May 1-4 has been rescheduled. Lindsay Road will now be closed in both directions at Loop 202 during the following dates:
  • 9 p.m. Monday, May 4,to 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 5
  • 10 p.m. Friday, May 8, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 11
  • DETOUR: Drivers may use Pecos or Germann roads to navigate around the closure.

• The southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) ramp to eastbound Loop 202 will be closed from9 p.m. Thursday, May 7, to 5 a.m. Friday, May 8.
• The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at McQueen Road will be closed from10 p.m. Friday, May 8, to 8 a.m. Saturday, May 9.
  • Eastbound Loop 202 also will be narrowed to three lanes in the area.
  • Note: The long term closure of this on-ramp is scheduled to be lifted on Saturday, May 2.
  • DETOUR:Drivers may consider using the eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Cooper Road.
