DNC Statement on Easter Arrow

DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement in celebration of Easter:

"As communities across the country celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I'm reflecting on the powerful lessons found in Scripture. My Catholic faith teaches me that, despite painful suffering for our sins on the cross, Christ rose again on the third day with a message of hope, renewal, peace, and forgiveness.

"His example directly contradicts what we are witnessing from our nation's leaders, especially as they use their power to exact revenge and retribution on perceived enemies. Today and every day, let us reject their division and darkness, and instead reaffirm our commitment to building community and seeking peace. From all of us in the Democratic Party, may this Easter bring joy and blessings to you and your loved ones."
