Two Stolen Vans Used in ATM Theft
Burglary and Auto Theft detectives are pursuing active leads in identifying two white male suspects who on Tuesday at 3:35 a.m. stole an ATM from the Shell station at 1311 Briarville Road, using a stolen van that they set on fire before fleeing in a second stolen van.
A van that had been reported stolen earlier this month from a Myatt Drive business was backed into the front of the store. The pair then loaded the ATM into a white Ford van bearing Tennessee tag BWJ0399 which was stolen from 3700 Buena Vista Pike a short time before the burglary (photo attached). Prior to leaving, they set the van used to break into the store on fire (photo attached). NFD investigators are working the arson aspect of this case.
