On 16 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, delivered the closing remarks at the 15th ASEF Journalists Seminar at the Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai. Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Thai Governor to ASEF, as well as representatives of foreign diplomatic missions from ASEM Member Countries, also attended the event.
Vice Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of accurate reporting in building public trust, adapting to changes, and prioritising both physical and mental well-being. Meanwhile, Ms. Beata Stoczyńska, Executive Director of ASEF, expressed the hope that the seminar would provide participants with an opportunity to exchange experiences and promote cooperation among journalists from Asia and Europe.
Before the farewell reception, the Vice Foreign Minister held discussions with the Executive Director of ASEF on cooperation in sustainability and green transition, combating cybercrimes, and ASEF's future plans and activities.
The 15th ASEF Journalists Seminar was held from 14 to 17 September 2026 in Bangkok under the theme "Journalistic Resilience in a Volatile World." Moreover, Thailand is scheduled to host the ASEF Linkup - Asia-Europe Cultural Diplomacy in 2027.
