FSU's Department of Music, Theatre and Dance Presents Caroline Carter Senior Recital

Frostburg State University's Department of Music, Theatre and Dance is pleased to announce the senior recital of Caroline Carter, soprano, assisted by Dr. Joseph Yungen, collaborative pianist. The performance will take place on Saturday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public. Carter is a senior at FSU, where she studies voice with Dr. Chun-Ting Chao. She is anticipated to graduate on May 21, 2026, with a bachelor's degree in music. A 2020 graduate of Westlake High School, Carter is the daughter of Ann Bryan of Burlington, NJ, and Samuel Carter of Riverdale, Md.

The program will feature a diverse selection of art songs and operatic arias spanning several centuries and styles. Scheduled on the program are Handel's "Ch'io mai vi possa", from Siroe, re di Persia; Mozart's "Giunse alfin il momento…Deh vieni, non tardar", from Le nozze di Figaro; Schubert's "Lied der Mignon"; Brahms' "Meerfahrt" and "Botschaft"; Beethoven's "O war ich schon mit dir vereint", from Fidelio; John Duke's "The Bird" and "Little Elegy"; Debussy's "Romance" and "Beau Soir"; Hahn's "Si mes vers avaient des ailes"; Delibes' "Les Filles de Cadix"; and Bellini's "Eccomi in lieta vesta…O quante volte", from I Capuleti e I Montecchi.
