Indictments Allege Possession of Dozens of Stolen Credit Cards and Driver's Licenses
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg Jr. today announced the indictment of ELHADJI SENE, 34, for allegedly using stolen credit cards to make thousands of dollars of unauthorized purchases on two victims' accounts between November 2024 and March 2025. SENE allegedly possessed 23 stolen credit cards upon his arrest. SENE is charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with three counts of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, 23 counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, 23 counts of Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information in the Third Degree, four counts of Identity Theft in the First Degree, among other charges. "As alleged in today's indictment, Elhadji Sene stole the phones and wallet from two Manhattanites and proceeded to use the stolen items to make unauthorized purchases worth thousands of dollars. This is merely the latest indictment Sene faces for repeatedly stealing New Yorkers' identities and hard-earned money," said District Attorney Bragg. "This is an ongoing investigation. As alleged in court documents and statements made on the record, in January 2025, SENE used a stolen phone to make more than $10,000 of unauthorized purchases using the victim's financial accounts.
In March 2025, he used a second victim's stolen credit cards to make more than $3,000 of unauthorized purchases on his accounts.
When SENE was arrested, the second victim's credit cards were found in his car, along with 20 other credit cards and a forged driver's license.
SENE also faces allegations in two additional indictments that are open and pending:
Assistant D.A. Thomas Roman (Cyber Crime Bureau) is handling the prosecution of this case under the supervision of Assistant D.A.s Adam Maltz (Deputy Chief of the Cyber Crime Bureau), Virginia Nguyen (Deputy Chief of the Cyber Crime Bureau), Jeremy Glickman (Chief of the Cyber Crime Bureau) and Executive Assistant D.A. Jodie Kane (Chief of the Investigation Division).
