Sustaining Our Future: Together We're on a Path to Reduce GHGs

Palo Alto is proof that big climate goals are built and achieved through everyday action. In our first Sustaining Our Future update, we shared how the community has already reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50% below 1990 levels, even as our population has grown by 22%. Progress is a result of residents, businesses and City programs working together, project by project, choice by choice.
In this second update, we're looking at both sides of that work: reducing emissions that drive climate change and how it's impacting our community. From how we get around town and how we reduce waste going into landfills to a new kind of levee now protecting our shoreline, learn about how Palo Alto is working toward our mission to reduce emissions by 80%.
