Workforce Development Board Vacancies

The Pinal County Workforce Development Board (PCWDB) is a required board under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant. It serves as a strategic convener to promote and broker effective relationships between the Pinal County Board of Supervisors and economic, education, and workforce partners throughout Pinal County. The PCWDB must be chaired by a member of the local business community, and the board itself must be a majority of local business representatives. All PCWDB members are appointed by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.

Currently, the WIOA grant provides over $5 million in federal funds to Pinal County (no match) for workforce development activities. The PCWDB is responsible for developing a strategy to continuously improve and strengthen the workforce development system through innovation in, and alignment and improvement of, employment, training, and education programs, promoting economic growth. In Arizona, the system that each of the state's 12 local workforce development boards is responsible for is called ARIZONA@WORK.

The PCWDB is seeking to fill the vacancies of one representative each in the following categories: Business and Workforce. To learn more about each of these categories, please click here.

If you know of anyone in your respective Districts who may be interested in serving on the PCWDB, please have them complete an application.

PCWDB will review the applications and forward qualified candidates for full PCWDB consideration with recommendations to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors for consideration of appointment.
