Monmouth University President F. Leahyserved as the keynote speaker for the annual meeting of the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA) in Chicago on Sept. 17.
His address, "AI, DEI, NIL: What Does This Mean for American Higher Education," featured an in-depth analysis of numerous challenges facing higher education. Leahy articulated six trends facing colleges and universities, and offered a prediction - that the pace of mergers and acquisitions among higher education institutions will continue to accelerate in the years to come.
The conference also featured speakers representing MIT, Vanderbilt, Yale, the University of Toronto, Ohio State, Villanova, Bucknell, and other universities. Leahy said the audience included hundreds of money managers from organizations including Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Charles Schwab, John Deere, the Virginia Retirement System, and the Chicago Board of Trade.
The CQA provides quantitative investment professionals a forum to interchange ideas and share experiences, with the goal of stimulatating conversation and discussion on a wide range of quantitative investment topics.
