Talent development : highlights from the 2025 edition of our programmes

This spring, the Manutan Group launched two new cohorts of its flagship talent development programmes: Tribes and Leaders of Tomorrow (LofT). True to our ambition of supporting our employees in their growth and career progression, these programmes embody our core values: sharing, development, and trust, all serving a purpose-driven project. Acting as real accelerators of careers and transformation, they enable us to build tomorrow's company together.

Two programmes, one same dynamic of growth

Over the course of three months, around thirty employees from across our European subsidiaries (17 countries) took part in our talent development programmes, Tribes and LofT.

A collective experience marked by key highlights:

  • An inspiring kick-off with Xavier Guichard, Chairman and CEO of the Manutan Group, to open the programmes.
  • Stimulating personal development modules, to foster self-awareness and better collaboration.
  • An enriching training week at our European Campus, focusing on strategy, communication, and key business challenges.
  • An engaging closing session, where participants presented their work to the Group Executive Committee - a major moment of reflection and forward-looking perspectives.

Tribes: unleashing early-career talent

Designed for young professionals at the start of their careers, Tribes aims to identify, nurture, and invest in emerging talent to prepare for the future. This second edition focused on one of the MBTI* profiles: DISC*, a powerful tool for better understanding one's own way of working and that of others. Participants also experienced an immersive bootcamp with the e-commerce and Circular Hub teams, bridging the gap between learning and real-world application.

Loris Quesado, Group Fullstack Developer, shares:
"Tribes is a truly unique human experience. Engaging with colleagues from all over the world and exchanging our visions of the company gave me a deeper understanding of its direction and broadened my outlook. This programme gives meaning to our daily work, strengthens commitment, and helped me grow, particularly in communication and adaptability."

Leaders of Tomorrow: preparing tomorrow's leaders

Now in its third edition, Leaders of Tomorrow aims to support our future leaders in building their skills and advancing their careers. This year, the programme introduced a large-scale role-play exercise simulating the management of a subsidiary. Participants had to analyse, decide, and collaborate - all under the watchful eye of the actual Group Executive Committee.

Aurélie Yvorel, Head of Public Procurement at Pichon, reflects:
"An inspiring, enriching, and intense experience! The real-time business case, with crises to manage on the spot, was a defining moment for the whole cohort. Discussions with two guest entrepreneurs also provided a practical perspective on leadership and transformation. What struck me most was the importance of anticipation: if you only undertake change when it becomes unavoidable, you are already too late."

At Manutan, we are convinced that talent development is above all a human journey. These programmes reflect our commitment to passing on knowledge, fostering trust, and growing together in a supportive and stimulating environment to build the future.

* The MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) is a personality assessment model and tool - albeit a controversial one - that categorises individuals into one of sixteen psychological types.

* The DISC method (Dominant, Influential, Steady, Conscientious) is a behavioural analysis tool that describes how a person acts and adapts to their environment.
